I just downloaded a bunch of their live recordings...I like what I'm hearing! Then again, although I'm 17, I've always liked the oldies, and I've decided to start trying bands which are not played on "Oldies" radio stations...The bad news is that now you people are gonna be subjected to my questionable humor and unexplainable references to things which are both off-topic and just plain weird.

it's all relative...imo, the GD played their best shows/music when they were in their 20's & 30's
Check out these shows >> http://gratefuldeadprojects.com/Jam_Segments.html

As with grate jazz, it's hard to date what you hear (unless it's a scratchy old vinyl)- as far as sounding all old. For me, most of the "meat" is in their 2nd sets, after they warmed up on some ole standards.

A grate Darkstar trancends time and space

But sir, I can't possibly vote for George Bush, since his butt is too wrinkly. That said, I've always enjoyed using the Macintosh computers of the 90's, since that's what my school used. BUT, and this is a big butt, I have never, EVER seen a single film starring Tom Cruise.
